  • The Journey

    In the Vale

    Though the shadows are falling
    You have nothing to fear
    Iím walking beside you
    I will always be near
    Iíll sit down beside you
    Weíll talk for a while
    And whilst you are sleeping
    Your face wears a smile
    Iím holding your hand
    Iím stroking your hair
    Together we talk
    You havenít a care
    Thereís peace in the valley
    Thereís nothing to fear
    We remember the past
    And each shed a tear
    No cares of tomorrow
    Nothing can harm
    We rest in the vale
    Where itís peaceful and calm

  • At a loss for words

    Words Fail Me

Words were my friends or so I thought
So why have they deserted me now?
I turn to them for comfort
    But cannot find them anyhow

Words were my refuge or so I thought
A place to hide from all lifeís dangers
But that appears no longer thus
    Now feeling more like strangers

Words were my solace or so I thought
Somewhere to make my being whole
But now they seem to hurt me so
    Cruelly piercing my very soul

  • Saying nothing!

    Blank Verse

    No words
    No thoughts
    No feelings
    No rhyme
    No reason

  • And here's one for GillyB!

    A Toad's Eye View

    T'was early March
    O joyous spring
    When flowers grew
    And birds did sing
    My latest lover
    Came to call
    I loved him so
    Warts and all
    He was so sweet
    The best I'd had
    He invited me back
    To his lily pad
    Beside the pond
    Our passions stirred
    When all at once
    A noise we heard
    The moment lost
    The passion stopped
    My lover sighed
    And off he hopped.

  • For Plantpot.......

    The Unwelcome Visitor

    He came calling again today
That gentleman in the velvet coat
He played havoc with my world
And brought a scream into my throat
He left a message on the ground
A sign to say that he had been
It wasn't a single rosebud red
But the biggest molehill ever seen!
