Changes
Simple spring when life is born
Beneath the surface new feelings wake
Each new day brings fresh awareness
Each new experience our characters make
Life is gentle, life’s a game
Frisky lambs and forest flowers
Growing daily, learning to live
And laugh through sun or showers
Sultry summer, life’s in bloom
Days are full of wine and song
Every day’s a new adventure
Children’s laughter all day long
Life is fast and so exciting
Changes come with each new day
Challenges round every corner
Lots of time for work and play
Awesome autumn, golden splendour
Harvest time of rich reward
In fruits of labour we take pride
For this is what we’ve worked toward
The seedlings we’ve planted
The seeds that we’ve sown
Are a joy to behold
Now they are all grown
Weary winter, life is chilled
In frozen ponds we stop and gaze
And try to find reflected there
The memories of our yesterdays
But shadows dim the images
And life moves slower yet
So many things we can’t remember
And so many things we can’t forget
