I've just been notified that two of my poems are to be published. They are:
Dining Alone
A table for one please waiter
For I'm here on my own
If I'd known he wasn't coming
I would have stayed at home
A table by the window
Yes that would be just fine
One knife, one fork, one spoon
And just one glass of wine
A table in the corner
Would be a better place
Then nobody would notice
Tears rolling down my face

A New Day Dawns
Misty morning
Wet with dew
Shades of pink
And shades of blue
Silent stillness
Fills the air
Senses wake
And now aware
Marshland meadows
Lost in swirls
Mist now moves
The day unfurls
Hills and forests
Come to view
Rising high
In front of you
Early birdsong
Seems to say
Silence is broken
Welcome new day

"Dining Alone" will appear in a book called "Angel's Breath" which is almost ready to print (approximately ten weeks) and will be available from all good bookshops.
"A New Day Dawns" is one of 250 chosen for the "National Poetry Anthology" which will be published next spring.
