This is something I wrote, for my Daughter, at the beginning of 1990

My Legacy

Hello world ….this is me
Although I’m not as tall as I might be
I am a person in my own right
I am an individual, I am unique
I have a mind and I can speak

I may not shout and fuss and scream
My life may seem just one long dream
But I am living in this world
I may not walk where others do
But always to myself I’m true

I care, I love, I have compassion
I’m very happy … in my own fashion
I am different, I am me
I cherish every day I live
I give as much as I can give

I am Julie that’s my name
I’m not in search of note or fame
I am alive and that’s enough
Life is for living to the full
I haven’t time for being dull

So when my days on earth are done
I shall be remembered for my fun
I want no tears to follow me
Instead in every home and place
Remember me for my happy face

No - she's my firstborn and yet unmarried daughter. Karen is my other daughter with the two children.
