Facing up to Reality.

by la_spice @ Thursday, May. 01, 2008 - 06:46:28

I must confess to being a bit of a romantic which I guess comes as no surprise. This can be confusing as I am also a very grounded, matter of fact person. Occasionally these two facets are at odds with each other which may account for the following:

Post Mortem

Romance died today
Or did it
Was it ever alive
Or was it
A figment of my mind
Or can it
Have cruelly tricked me
Or maybe it
Was a ghost
From the past
It matters not
For now it's gone
Romance is dead

Very enjoyable poem :-)
If romance has left us!
Just look around and see that which surrounds us?
Romance is every where Family, Friends, strangers etc
When it surrounds us in such an abundance its has to leave a little our way :-)

Thank you for dropping by  and for your comments. I think it all depends on the interpretation of the word "romance".

Romance will never die as long as there are people who care. It just slips to one side now and again to take a rest. Then we find it again just when we stopped looking. And you living the high life in France too.
