Another of those days.

by la_spice @ Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2008 - 09:12:32

Yes it's cold and miserable again. I did get up quite early and decided that I needed warmth and comfort so I slipped back under the duvet.

Morpheus in the Slumberworld

The Greek god called me back to bed
For it was cold and raining
I didn’t try resisting
I didn’t try complaining

I meekly let him take my hand
As back to bed I went
I let him take me in his arms
And off to sleep was sent

I dreamed of places yet unseen
And walked in fields of gold
I’m glad that I went back to bed
This morning wet and cold

Yeah, a sort of soothing poem, I liked it. Hope you don't mind me asking this, but was there any particular reason you used the word 'meekly', or was it just the word you wanted to use?

No I don't mind you asking. I purposely chose the word 'meekly' to give the feeling of total submission. You know that feeling when you just can't fight sleep?

Thank you for asking.

Marian
