This morning my blog friend Gordon posted a picture of a beautiful sunrise. He has kindly given me permission to use it as an illustration for a poem which I posted last week.
A New Day Dawns
Misty morning
Wet with dew
Shades of pink
And shades of blue
Silent stillness
Fills the air
Senses wake
And now aware
Marshland meadows
Lost in swirls
Mist now moves
The day unfurls
Hills and forests
Come to view
Rising high
In front of you
Early birdsong
Seems to say
Silence is broken
Welcome new day
