Anyone following my blog will probably have noticed that I asked if any photographer bloggers could provide me with one of their images to illustrate any of my poems. Here is one kindly illustrated by "Molty".
Simply Said
Simple pleasures
Simple treasures
A stroll on the sand
A shell in my hand
The wind in my hair
I haven’t a care
A friend close at hand
The sea and the sand
The sun and the waves
The rocks and the caves
All nature is here
I have nothing to fear

"This is so simple and just meets my taste to perfection. You seem to seriously underrate your work. Those famous published poets fill up the lines with references to Greek and Roman history, Gods and heroes who mean nothing to those without a classical education. Your work only needs readers with good taste and sensitivity. It is evocative of what we want from life.” David 11/3
It really is a lovely poem. I'm one for the simple pleasures of life as outlined in it. Thanks. MrFlighty 6/6
I live by the sea and you've captured exactly what I love about it here, it's beautiful. Thank you. PotDonkey 6/6
