He wanted me to stay in bed
He wanted company
He wanted another cuddle
With his body next to me
He wanted me to stay in bed
He started to look sad
I guess another hour in bed
Wouldn’t really be so bad
He looked at me with sparkling eyes
He held my gaze so steady
How could I say I had to go
And leave my darling teddy
