As the media is full of holiday ads I thought I'd share a holiday memory with you.

Martin Masher – what a smasher!

We took a trip to Kenya
Gran, Karen, Mum and me
To taste some other culture
And see what we could see
We saw a lot of dik diks
And a *Nana Maskouri!
We followed lots of dropping
To see from where they’d come
The native guide just laughed and said
“They’re from an elephants bum!”
I loved his little story
About the zebra and giraffe
But when I mentioned Knowsley Safari Park
My mother didn’t laugh!
We knew that it was Friday
That was easy, don’t you see
For we had snake and chips for dinner
And barracuda and chips for tea.
We had a lovely waiter
He really was a smasher
His badge so proudly bore his name
You’ve guessed it ……Martin Masher.

*Greek for water buffalo (not really but there was an uncanny resemblance to the singer!)
