Knowing Me, Knowing You
(Lisa's Poem)

I know it can't be easy
Being Mum and Dad to me
I know sometimes I'm stubborn
And awkward as can be
I know sometimes I'm in the dumps
And sometimes in the air
But always when I need you
I know that you are there

I know I can be selfish
If things don't go my way
I know I don't appreciate
The things you do and say
But today I want to tell you
You're really loved a lot
Each day I meant to tell you
But each day I just forgot

Whatever life has got in store
Of this I can be sure
That you will always be there
As you have been before
You'll laugh with me when I'm happy
And console me if I'm sad
You really mean so much to me
I love you Mum and Dad.
